The Summit School, located eight miles south of Annapolis, is a private school for bright children in grades 1-8 with learning differences, such as dyslexia, dyscalculia, and executive function challenges.  Summit offers small class sizes and individualized instruction in an ideal setting.

 

School:

Director of Development This position is responsible for building and executing the fundraising and development plan and managing the plan through the fundraising database. S/he also is responsible for grant seeking and writing, and overseeing special events.

The Director of Development is an exciting, dynamic, and rewarding position for the right person.  We are seeking an individual who takes the initiative and can work independently, enjoys working in a collaborative team environment, can meet deadlines, and is a strategic thinker who embraces opportunities to be creative and problem solve. Teacher, Full-Time:  Immediate opening for individual with special ed background to teach a varied curriculum to bright elementary grade students with learning differences. Must have ed or special ed degree.  Pref reading training in OG, PG or Wilson. Small classes,  differentiated instr. Outstanding training ops.

 

Teacher, Long-Term Substitute: Prefer Special Ed background to teach middle and upper elementary grades. Ed degree required. Full-time starting early Spring 2017. Reading and English training a plus. Small classes. Differentiated instruction.

 

Substitutes: Grades 1-8. Education or Special Education degree and experience. $90 per day.

 

Nurse for Summer Camp July 2017; and School Nurse Fall 2017: Summer camp 7/5-7/28, 5 days per week, 9am-2pm. Current MD license, RN or NP.

Summit Resource Center

Tutors Needed for Summit Resource Center:  All subject areas.  Must have experience working in special education / working with students with learning differences.   Please email resume to nancy.rhodes@thesummitschool.org.

Speech-Language Pathologist needed for Summit Resource Center to do clinical assessments for children and adolescents.  PT, flexible days/hours.  Must be experienced testing students with learning differences. Summer Program

Teachers Needed for Summer Camp ProgramJuly 3-28, Half-day, 8am-12:30pm, 3 hr-long classes, lunch & snack OR Full day, 8am-3pm which requires participation in afternoon activities.  Education degree required.  Special Ed preferred.
