The Summit School, located eight miles south of Annapolis, is a private school for bright children in grades 1-8 with learning differences, such as dyslexia, dyscalculia, and executive function challenges.  Summit offers small class sizes and individualized instruction in an ideal setting.



Music Teacher, FT:  Degree in music education and Maryland teaching certificate in music (or eligibility for MD certification in music) required to teach general music to grades 1-8.  Coordinate at least three performances, cultural assemblies,and collaborate with staff to facilitate a creative, diverse, hands-on learning environment. Experience with bright children with learning differences a plus. Experience with middle grades beginner band and chorus also a plus. Collegial & supportive, small class sizes. Librarian, P/T:  The Summit School, Edgewater, MD is seeking a part-time librarian.  Maryland school library media specialist certified or eligibility for certification required.  Ability to work collaboratively with teachers  to integrate information literacy skills. Summit Resource Center

Tutors Needed for Summit Resource Center:  All subject areas.  Must have experience working in special education / working with students with learning differences.   Please email resume to nancy.rhodes@thesummitschool.org.

Speech-Language Pathologist needed for Summit Resource Center to do clinical assessments for children and adolescents.  PT, flexible days/hours.  Must be experienced testing students with learning differences. Summer Program

Teachers Needed for Summer Camp ProgramJuly 3-28, Half-day, 8am-12:30pm, 3 hr-long classes, lunch & snack OR Full day, 8am-3pm which requires participation in afternoon activities.  Education degree required.  Special Ed preferred.
