Edgewater, MD (February 2016) Inspired by the glitz and glam of a bygone era and
hidden within the walls of the Unity Hall at Holy Family Church in Davidsonville, Summit
School’s Dancing For the Stars Gala will transport you back to 1920’s Chicago – a
time when gangsters ruled the streets, Babe Ruth dominated baseball and the Ford
Model T was the cat’s meow. The event will be held on Friday, April 1st from 6:30pm-
11pm and will feature live music by the band Fren-z, casino-style gaming tables and a
live auction.
The mere whisper of a password (“Summit”) will open the doors to the tantalizing sound
of Jazz, enticing you into a mysterious and sultry Speakeasy scene of the 1920’s. Music
by the band Fren-z will guide your feet as you dance the Charleston (or hip hop!) or sip
your vintage signature cocktail where Al Capone once imbibed.
Guests can try their luck at the Vegas style gaming tables and a supper club then awaits
you to immerse your senses in a showcase of culinary delights donated by over 20 local
chefs.
This unique event will keep you in surprise and delight all to raise money for The Summit
School! This is not an event to miss! Tickets are $90 before March 7th, $115 after that.
