Participating in interscholastic sports helps students develop athletically and develop good sportsmanship while fostering a sense of community. The Summit School encourages all students in grades six through eight to participate in its interscholastic sports program. A few of our offerings include coed soccer, cross-country, girls’ and boys’ basketball, boys’ lacrosse, and tennis.
Students involved in The Summit School’s Student Government Association (SGA) learn how to lead, promote their ideas, access community resources, advocate for themselves and present their points of view. A strong component of our school community, SGA is involved in many community outreach projects throughout the year. The SGA also sponsors monthly assemblies that celebrate student successes and promote school spirit.
Students participate in clubs via The Summit School’s weekly Enrichment Program. The Enrichment Program helps build community across the school among all students and teachers while giving students opportunities for out-of-the-box learning. Club options include Chess, Arts and Crafts, Legos, Basketball, Photography, Movie Production, School Newspaper, Cooking, Guitar, Outdoor Games and Robotics.
