The Summit School, located eight miles south of Annapolis, is a private school for bright children in grades 1-8 with learning differences, such as dyslexia, dyscalculia, and executive function challenges. Summit offers small class sizes and individualized instruction in an ideal setting.


Middle School Social Studies Teacher, FT, Fall 2019:  Special Education preferred, with social studies/history background. Maryland State Department of Education certified or eligibility to obtain certification. Must be familiar with hands-on, differentiated instruction, and educational technology.  Small classes.  Excellent professional development opportunities and collaborative, creative, environment. Music, PT, Fall 2019:  Degree in music education and Maryland teaching certificate in music (or eligibility for MD certification in music) required to teach general music to grades 1-8.  Includes arts integration with classroom teachers and collaborative work with staff on assemblies, performances and productions. Experience with Orff method of instruction a plus.  Interest in serving bright children with learning differences a must.  Collegial & supportive, small class sizes. Speech/Language Pathologist, FT:  SLP Masters. CF candidates welcome. Private school focusing on language learning disabilities. Strong background in reading and written language research and practice. Sm classes, differentiated instruction. Summit Resource Center:
