The Summit School, located eight miles south of Annapolis, is a private school for bright children in grades 1-8 with learning differences, such as dyslexia, dyscalculia, and executive function challenges. Summit offers small class sizes and individualized instruction in an ideal setting.

School:

Development Assistant, FT: Immediate opening for a full-time Development Assistant. Duties include but not limited to supporting the Director of Development and fundraising activities. This position will be the primary administrator for the school’s constituent database ensuring accurate data entry and tracking systems. BA or AA degree with at least 5 years of fundraising experience. Experience with fundraising platforms strongly preferred. Proficiency with MSOffice (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher), professional social media a plus, experience with Adobe InDesign a plus, Familiar with GuideStar and Charity Navigator, 990 tax returns and ability to prospect through various media channels. This position requires a high energy level, must be flexible and comfortable with managing multi-faceted projects along with day-to-day activities using sound judgment and discretion. Physical requirements include sight, hearing, standing for extended periods, must be physically able to interact and participate in most school functions. Executive Administrative Assistant, FT: An opportunity for an experienced individual to make a difference in a school for bright students with learning differences by providing administrative support to the Executive Director. This is a position requiring exceptional organizational, time management, written and spoken communication abilities, research skills, and computer proficiency with Google Suite, Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook). Experience with Microsoft Publisher and/or InDesign a plus. Ability to work independently and cooperatively with a team, flexibility, sound judgement, discretion and confidentiality are essential. Speech/Language Pathologist, FT:  SLP Masters. CF candidates welcome. Private school focusing on language learning disabilities. Summit Resource Center:

Tutors Needed for Summit Resource Center:  All subject areas.  Must have experience working in special education / working with students with learning differences.   Please email resume to nancy.rhodes@thesummitschool.org.

Speech/Language Pathologist (SLP):  SLP needed for contractual position through Summit Resource Center, assessing children ages 5-18 and writing comprehensive evaluations to provide recommendations.
